L'ville Herpaquarium: Fish, Snakes and VAMPIRES!!!

Took the kid to the zoo for a little trick or treatin. Stopped by the herp exhibit and snapped a few shots. The Rhom was ]v[ONSTER! This fish was flawless and had to be around 17" and about a foot tall! A MUST have for when I get back into MFKing. The vampire bats where AWESOME. They had just fed them what appeared to be and what I guess was blood in little dishes on the ground. They were crawling around like rats instead of flying...VERY cool! Sorry I couldnt get better pics of the albino gator..there was a net around the pen and the camera would either focus on the net or barely focus on the gator.

The bats are cool, and kinda cute! The sunfish is gorgeous! Very cool photos.

The fish is a longear sunfish, lepomis megalotis. He was in in a local display tank with other local fish. Ive seen different longears from different locations and the ones we have here in the creeks that run through the city are BEAUTIFUL! Ive seen them 10x better then that.

Here is one I caught and kept once...they my pygo shoal feasted on him! hehe
