Lye soap

I just melted down some soap made from lye that contains only lard and lye so i added garlic powder, spirulina/krill fish flake food, and shrimp pellet fish food.
Iam going to use it for catfishing up here in northen california, its solidifing at the moment in a cleaned out jam jar, the only stench is of fat,shrimp and garlic, with garlic being the strongest scent.


Think it catch catfish and carp?

Where do you find soap like this and how do you eliminate the lye?

Lye soap I used is called grandmas lye soap, is soothing to skin, got it at ace hardware , family and I started using it to wash hands and body, soap made with lye lard and a little water when done right isnt harmful for people, it reduces rashes and dry skin, no allergins or noxious perfumes or detergents, so i love to bath with it, I recently have found out that texans use lye soap for catfish, so i figure I would melt some of mine unused lye soap in a glass jar in a pot of hot water and stir in some garlic and fish foods.
