State of chaos
I'm normally an extremely sound sleeper, but these last three nights I have been unable to sleep at all, other than a few rough hours assisted by medication. I've spent a lot of time in the woods around ticks in high-risk lyme disease areas this year, and I know lyme disease can cause some major sleep disturbances. That's the only symptom I have noticed thus far, of anything. I mean, I have had some joint pains and tremors, as well as lack of appetite, but that could also in theory be a side effect of lack of sleep.

The only possible thing I can think of is lyme disease, and I certainly have spent a lot of time around it this summer.

What do you guys think?

If you never had a tic, I don't see how tha would be possible. Normally, you will get red rings around the bite. If you did get bitten and are concerned, I would definitely see a doctor.

I've seen a bunch on me, found one that was embedded but he was removed before he could have given me any kind of disease. But, apparently they do like to hide on your scalp, and I have walked through head-height foliage and I have long hair, so it's possible I could have missed one in there.

I've also heard that the rash doesnt appear 100% of the time, not that I'd notice it if it was on my scalp anyway.

Eughhhh, I had some caffeine (not a lot, just tea) to try and wake me up and now I feel like crap.

Tick bites are pretty easy to miss, especially on your head like BF mentioned. Also, many don't develop the characteristic "bullseye" rash:

"Recent data show that less than 16 percent of persons chronically infected with Lyme disease ever recall a bullseye rash.

Most patients with the chronic persistent form of Lyme disease (Borrelia infection) never recall a bullseye rash which would explain why their treatment was delayed allowing the disease to progress into the late stages."

Then I would see a doctor Bottomfeeder!

Don't believe the rash statistic though, I know 3 people that had it and they all had the rash.
