lyonsi duck lips

My lyonsi looks like it has duck lips. Happened over night, I turned the lights on this morning and thought it got into a fight but looked closer and it's lips are swollen. What is this and how do I treat it? Please help

Yes, it could be a fight, but please post pics and people will most likely be able to tell you for sure what it is...

=( i can't figure out my damn camera...my uaru got it too and I tried treating it with melafix or pimafix, all I had at the time. It got worse and worse and eventually ate a whole in his face and died

sounds like an infection , whatever it is , when fish get swollen lips and jaws are stuck and they cannot eat , those fish usually die . that sucks ha , hopefully yours has something else

Agreed, sounds like some type of infection. Possible to get any pictures?

I've been told Furan 2 works on that but it didnt work for me. It killed a big Beani last week ):

i have successfully cured this using metro, salt, and bringing the temp down to about 73 degrees. Darkness and isolation also help a lot

the lower temp is very important if it is bacterial
