So...I went to the gcca swap today looking for a motaguenese and a salvini. What I ended up with was a lyonsi and a flowerhorn. Picked up the lyonsi for $8 and he's about 3.5" I thought it was a pretty good deal. Never really seen these fish before but looked them up and they are beautiful fish so now I'm really excited to see him grow. How do you tell between male and female. They said near impossible?

The males have longer dorsal and anal fins. The males I've kept developed somewhat of a nuchal hump. Also females are more rotund in the belly. Very cool fish, similiar to trimac but more colorful in my opinion.
