Hey everybody i just purchased a 90 gallon tank from craigslist. It has stains everywhere because it was previously used as a saltwater tank...so its loaded with stains n grime. I heard vinegar and bleach are good to clean them with... i will go out tomorrow to purchase them right now all i have is lysol can i use that for now and try to rid as much as i can? for bearded dragon ;)

First use water to remove any salt still on the tank then I would use muriatic acid to remove the residue. use rubber gloves and in a well ventilated area

Don't use Lysol since there may be trace amounts of it leftover that could make your bearded dragon sick.

A solution of diluted bleach or diluted vinegar would help to remove the stains; as previously mentioned, a diluted muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) solution would also do the trick. I personally would use bleach since a good dechlorinator product that's used to treat tap water in order to make it safe for fish, reptiles, etc. could be used to ensure that the bleach is completely gone.
