That's a tough one, but i'm going to GUESS male because of the slight blue flecks on the anal fin? still not sure I am no Dovii expert.

its hard but i say male because of the small black dots on his stomach my dovii is just a lil bigger than that and has nice color and you can tell hes male so just wait a lil longer and im sure we can give u a 100% positive answer. i also like the varying gravel its nice

at that size, which im guessing is 2-3", perhaps a little larger, the black spots are not a good indicater as to sex at all. i have 15 dovii about 2-3" and they all have those black spots and i highly doubt their all males.

still a little to small. plus the females have blue on their fins also. The speckles have to be above the lateral line to be male.
