i finally found one what do they eat its about 7" or what should i be feeding it

ANYTHING...LOl..Mine eats anything that by passes my aro...i.e smelt, pellets, chicken, fish fillets...

Yes, M. irwini will eat any remaining food leftovers in the tank... pellets, krill, shrimp, and aquatic snails of course., but pretty much everything. Mine will come up to the top of the tank and feed on floating pellets. Great clean-up cat!

Mine eats anything as well, doesn't come to the top though! Still a baby, so hopefully in time he'll pick up that habit.

well its not doing that great amonia spike i lost a 11"royal and a few others it fn sucky. i get a fish i really want and this happens wtf ive been in this hobby 20 years just a lot of bad luck latley. maybe i should take a break for a while.

do they have big mouths that coudl eat other fish?

Their mouths are pretty small, kinda like a raphael cats, but of course they can and will eat small fish if given the opportunity.
