How do you pronounce Mbuna? I've always been curious, and I've always just said "Malawi Cichlids" since I didn't want to sound stupid saying "Mbuna" wrong.

Whenever I said it, it was always like Mmm (mmm, yummy!) Boon Uh. Which doesn't really roll off the tongue.
I have heard 3 ways... I doubt there is really an official way since you can't even ask natives how to pronounce it seeing as they have to have different dialects...

Almost happened exactly to me. My girlfriend asked me if should could change the channel on the TV, and I'm sitting here going "mmmbun.. Buna.. BOOONAAAH..."..
