M or F Red Devil?

What are you thoughts? Reason I ask, I plan on getting this guy a mate soon, and need to figure out whether that mate will be male or female. My gut tells me male, but would like a 2nd opinion. Thanks!

He's with a plceo. Digs constantly, is very territorial.. But i've never seen egg laying behaviour, nor eggs dropped. I've never seen big belly female signs like I have with my old female jag and convict. If it were female, would I not see this?

Going off the sexy bits it appears to be female. Males will be more narrow and drop straght down. Females will kind of hook.

I don't know what visual cues everyone else has gone off of, but the only sure-fire way to sex these fish is the vent.

We can all see the "tube" clearly in those pics - thin and pointed. Definitely male.
