If you watch WWE wrestling, you would know a commentator named Jim Ross who would often go ,"ma-gawd! ma-gawd!" for 'my God'.
Anyway to the topic. I baught koi feeders awhile ago for my Florida Gar and Ornate Bichir. As I returned after pouring the fish in ( without the water, just feeders from the net ) and replacing the net and throwing the plastic bags...I saw one Koi feeder, injured from being attacked or was already injured I don't know..but both of its gill plates were opened free and what I saw in its gills were tiny egg like white things..like spots, but this isn't just a spot, it's like an egg..two at one side and three on the other.
I was freaked out, brought the net again and took the poor fish out to examine it. For awhile it hit me so hard in the head why people don't want to feed live feeders as they bring parasites. And in my mind I saw my fish sometimes scratching their gill anywhere they could ( especially my Climbing Perch, and Ornate..sometimes when the water gets a little poop before I suck it all with the pump and do a few % of water change. Other reason is after introducing feeders in there ).
To see those white egg like things in the koi feeder's gills, I felt I was about to have goosebumps..like something crawling in my hair...uuggghhh...those things just made me uncomfortable. I tried to pick them, they seemed so attached..I wondered again what exactly these things are..and when I checked the other side that had 3 of them, I could move them a little from their positions and I couldn't take it anymore, just flushed the fish..and wondered at this whole sad thing...the feeder to live such a life as a feeder fish, God that creates another creature to feed on another...
And who knows if my fish have those....just uncomfortable feelings...
