ei! m sam from the philippines..

i just gave a downpayment on what looks like a spotted gar (4").. and i saw another one in another petshop but named long nose gar.. now im confused.. can anyone help me?

also, i did my research.. i got plants and a somewhat strong filter for the water flow.. and il b buying small fishies to feed it.. i ddnt find any article on the feeding sched of the gar.. can anyone help me on that as well?

I think the "Gar ID Thread" will be of help to you. Also, it's often very easy to switch gars onto non-live foods, which are safer for them and much easier for you. If you choose not to, please read up on quarantining feeders in order to reduce chances of disease and parasitic infection for your fish.

Oh, and we'd love to see photos once he gets settled!
