Macaws

Hi everyone, i know this is a very quiet section but does anybody keep Macaw's? Did you jump straight in or cut your teeth on another species so to speak? Would love to hear some stories, as looking at getting a Blue and Gold in the long run! Many thanks!

the only thing i can add when someone is interested in getting a parrot.. is... once you have decided to purchase please remember this is a life time commitment ... parrots live many years.. sometimes 65+ ... they bond with their owners.. they do not do well when they need to be rehomed for any reason.. this itself is heartbreaking.. they actually pine away and pull their feathers out in frustration.. no one can realize the bond is this strong until you pass the bird on to someone else.. so commit with the thought of a lifetime ...... at least have this goal in mind...
