I was at my lfs and he has some fish he calls Madagascar Barbs. I didnt get a picture of them and cant find them anywhere online. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them or could point me in the right direction.

They have a simular body type as a denison barb (long slender with two pointed tail) but is much more colorful and has a black dot over its eye and on its tail. Its a very beautiful fish, but the LFS wants 34.99 a piece for them and I was trying to find out its real name so I could try to find them somwhere else or at least find out if he is asking a fair price. Ill keep looking for a picture.

Thank You

never heard of them makes me think that they are trying to rip people off.

If that is what they were selling...price is way too high

Did it look like this ? If it does they are called filament barbs or black spot barbs for common names I just bought four that are 5 inch and got all 4 of them for $30 bucks so that's kind of expensive if they want 35 a piece ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1337028154.053096.jpg
