Here's my big old boy. About 8 years old now and almost over 12" long. He killed the two females that he shared the tank with a few years ago. I call him Godzilla for a reason

These first few are before I cleaned his tank.



Now here's the clean tank!!!!

Yeah, I was pretty upset about that. I didn't go to school for a few days after he killed the first one. He's very territorial!!! That whole 55g tank is his property, which he'll defend to the death. He's still a cool lizard though.

I feed him 5 crickets once a week. They like lots of plants to hide in too. I also give him fruit every other week. They hate peaches and make a huge mess with it.

What kind of fruit?

Usually mango mixed with a few drops of honey and gecko vitamins. We typically give him baby food fruit, but I'm going to try to make him more natural "smoothies" from fresh fruit this winter. Does yours hate the water mister too?

Yeah, definitely not a fan of the mister. I feed mine Gecko dust that has banana and a bunch of other stuff, plus vitamins. You just mix it with water, the smoothie is made for you.

Cool. I'll have to look for that stuff. Ever tried feeding yours grasshoppers? They go nuts over them, as in jump half way across the terrarium to get it!

I don't have grasshoppers available for sale here, but when spring comes around I'll go to the nature preserve and catch some.
