hi guys, just like to share the progress of two of my pups that have been with my customers for the past few months.

black diamonds are very interesting to observe over time because they sometimes evolve quite dramatically.

this first piece has been with shadow7 since mid 2010.
at birth, beginning june 2010

this second piece has been with Daland.com since August. The first picture was taken when it was about 4.5 inches.

The second picture taken by daland shows the same ray at about 8 inches. Notice the "glitter" in between the bigger spots? The spottings at the rims have also intensified.

I used to think that BDs morph when they are a bit older and larger, like one of my females (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336937), but this young male has certainly changed my thinking.

Any comments or experiences you'd like to share? Hope you like the pictures. :)

This is why i'm so confused with what we call a black diamond. I seen one of these white spotted variety in person before and it's so different from what I see here in the U.S. now.
