Anyone find a good solution to replacing your mag. 350 hoses? I bought some 5/8" tubing that I think might work, but it doesn't fit the quick connect valves.
Do they sell OEM hoses anywhere?

exactly what i do heat a cup of water in the microwave then stick the end of the tubing in it until its soft then slide it onto the fitting works every time.

I can get the tubing over the valves its the locking nuts that don't fit over the walls, sorry I wasn't specific about that. Do I even need to use the locking nuts? I haven't used a canister filter before so I'm not sure about the pressure they put on the hose attachments.

I would use the locking nuts to get a tight seal around the hose. You may need to use something to pich the hose under the locking nut to get it started.

5/8 is the correct size hose, it will work.

I'm going to guess that when the OP said "locking nut" that it was meant towards the twist connector on the end of the qucik release valve. The tubing just needs to be pinched so that it can get under that twist lock. Once its under it, it is pretty simple to get going.

I don't think the OP was reffering to the locks that are used around the intake and out take to get a tight seal. If you are concerned about that I would go with clamps verses zip ties. The zip ties or the locks that came with the filter will ceratinly work but if you are going to lose sleep about a leak, then clamps would be the way to go. You can buy clamps in all sizes at Home Depot or Lowes.
