Have you considered running an external pump ? I'd go with external at that size.. I am sure you can find an external pump with higher head cheaper than a Mag36.

I was in the same boat and I ended up with an external pump. All I had to do was drill the sump.

Just a suggestion..

yeah I wish I did use an external pump but at this point with the tank completely set up and the sump being glass and I never drilled glass I think I would rather just use a mag again
