i would go with iwaki for external. magdrives are better used as submerged from what i hear.

The pump is for a 210g with 2 AGA model 3 wet/dry's plumbed together. I'm thinking of running something like 2400 GPH through this setup and a few powerheads for circulation. Sound kosher?

Japanese made Iwaki pumps are hands down the better pump.

I agree with Wyld, Iwaki pumps, from my experience, and the 5 years i worked in the LFS selling them, never had any problems. Cant say the same for a experience I had with a mag drive or 2 lol
