mag float

Mine works fine. There's separate glass and acrylic cleaners. Be very careful cleaning acrylic, make sure you don't get a grain of sand under the cleaner and scratch the acrylic.

Go with the largest magnet you can afford if you have an acrylic tank. The pads are softer and acrylic is so thick it takes many passes to scrape algae with a weaker magnet.

I have a 44 inch deep tank so I had no choice, I had to get one. Now that I have it I use it on all my tanks. The floating feature is helpful........:)

+1 on being careful. I have scratched the hell out of both my tanks because 1 tiny sand particle gets stuck in between the MagFloat and the Acrylic. With that said I just bought another one because I like them so much.

Much better for glass tanks or Acrylic tanks with Gravel though. I can't clean the bottom inch or so of either of my Acrylic tanks because both have sand and it will always pickup some and scratch it...

+1 here for a scratched tank due to a mag float. Now, I just use a hand held alge scrubber.
