Magazines I didn't Order

I've received about 10 different magazines I haven't ordered at my new house.
They are addressed to me, or Mrs. My Name.

I know there is a law that says I don't have to pay for these, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get a bill. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

How? What's the exact law? Etc.

So far I have been putting sticky notes on them saying "Return to Sender, I did not order this."

So the mailman isn't putting htem back in my box, so not sure what happens after that.

Hrm. I would do a search to see if they are all from a parent company. Most likely they are, and you just contact the parent company. If they aren't, maybe a friend is pranking you?

I remember getting a phone asking if I wanted all these magazines.. I told them to blow it out their tail pipe. I guess they took that as a yes.

dont do anything. Companies you have used will give out your information to all these other companies. They send them to you in the hopes you'll like them and want to continue a subsription.

So I've been giving my mailman free mags?

I had a company send me a bill for a mag that randomly started showing up at my door. The phone call went something like this:

Me: "I got a bill for this magazine, I'm a little confused"
Jerky Mag People: "Yeah, you're total is $10"
Me: "I never subscribed"
JMP: "So you want me to unsubscribe you?"
Me: "that would be impossible, seeing as I never subscribed for your unsubscribing"
Them: "So I'll go ahead an cancel that, how would you like to pay the outstanding charge"
Me: "Blow it out your ass"

Needless to say I got no more mags
