looking for advice from the wiser members . I was thinking about installing magic sliders on my stand to move in an emergency , if I spill more water. the sliders would give a small air gap to towel up the mess and also dry under stand with air dryer if needed.

this set of 8 is rated for 1600 lbs, I was thinking of installing 40 evenly spaced on the bottom, 8000lbs total weight rating. it's 150g 48 x 24 foot print on wood flooring.

any advice is greatly appreciated .thanks

I've heard that the stress of water sloshing around from moving a full aquarium can damage it, and cause it to leak.

not planning to move it full ,if I do end up having to move it, drain it fin high and move it then.

I live in califronia . this whole place is an earthquake zone

I pretty much always put felt moving pads on the bottom of my stands to protect the floor from scratches. Same basic idea as this, and does make sliding around the empty tank very easy. I used them for my 125 gallon, and only put a couple of the normal ones used for tables and things. I'm sure these would work fine as well.
The tank won't be sliding anywhere on it's own, it's too heavy. Though, I do live in NJ where we don't get earthquakes, so I have no experience with that.
