I can honestly say I've had thousands, if not tens of thousands. This is the first time I've seen first hand the laying and fertilizing of eggs. I just watched my convicts lay and fertilize eggs a half hour ago. It is a sight to be seen for sure. The female made several passes over her spot she dug and laid 100 or so eggs. She then swam to the other side if the tank and herded the male to the spawn sight, where he made several passes over the eggs to fertilize. It was truly awesome. Just thought I'd share.

It was a good luck moment. I just happened to be waking through the kitchen and just happened to peer into the tank while it was happening. So I grabbed a glass of wine and watched the whole process. Amazing.
