I'm thinking something like this might keep my fish from smashing heaters, if they ram into them that's fine I have plastic guards on them but they still unhook the suction cups all the time

Are all magnets aquarium safe? I'm thinking it would be cheaper to make my own clips, and they would probably be sturdier than these

I wonder if I could make some to work with my power head? That thing always falls off the glass.

I believe that they already have those available.

They have the power heads that are magnetic but I meant make the magnet take the place of the suction cups on mine. I think zip ties may do the job.

is nickel plating aquarium safe? because you can DIY something using nickel plated NEODYMIUM magnets that's exactly what you need for a lot cheaper

If you're looking to keep your fish from smashing heaters, you might want to look into the Hydor ETH inline heater.

Im pretty sure nickel is toxic to fish. Like lead.
