what do they eat?
are they hard to maintain?

fox face are algae eaters primarily. They'll eat just about anything though. They pick at rocks scraping away non coraline algae as well as eat macroalgae. Foxface are relatively easy to keep in the home aquarium. They don't get huge, but they are active fish and need swimming space.

The Fox face is pretty easily kept...I wanna say they are about as hardy as... like a yellow tang. They love some algae and pretty much any Polyp, so an all fish tank is probably the best idea. They're also venomous which is kinda cool :)

Fox Face are easy to keep fish. They need lots of algae/ vegtable matter in thier diet. I feed mine spirulins and ocean nutritions'd formula two.

These are members of what are refered to as "rabbit fish". Thier dorsil spines can envenomate much like a lion fish but thay are not aggressive and for the most part are safe with most other fish.

They are completly reef safe fish, I do not agree with the opinion that they eat polyps, they are not know for eating corals. THey are great algae grazers in reef type aquariums but also adapt well to fish aquariums. THe magnifigant foxface is not as common as the regular foxface (volpomus lo) and are more expensive. They also very in coloration, I've seen some really nice colored magnifigant's as well as some pretty bland ones.

THese are great hardy fish that adapt to aquariums real well.
