A local guy is selling his 125gal tank with (what he claims, in perfect working condition) Magnum 250 and 350 filters and a stand (nothing too fancy) - for $300.

How are those filters, and are they enough for the 125 gal? Is this a good deal, you think?

Thanks!

I should mention these are canister filters; I just found out Marineland's HOB filters have the same model numbers...

I have 2 Mag 350s... and 2 Mag 250s... and 2 AC 110s... on my 125 gal tank...

I have the 250 and the 350 both work great but I also have the 110. Sounds like a good deal to me

Mag 350s cost less than $100 brand new... 250s are less than that...

I wouldn't pay more than $50 for both used filters locally... deduct shipping costs from that...

I'll admit I'm a cheap skate, but I doubt you'll find someone that loose with their funds...

But yea, an FX5 would make a great filter for your 125 gal :D

i have 4 350 mags in diff tanks they work well my tank size is a 135gl

With an ac110 or something similar I think you would be good.
I have an penguin330 (i think) a magnum 350. Im trying to either add a ac110 or another canister to it. I have a fluval 403 thats causing me some trouble but hopefully I can complete the filtration with that.

And if it comes with the hood/lights as well I think your getting a good deal.

Can you please clarify your message?

You have 4 Magnum 350s in different tanks... gotcha

They work well... gotcha

Your tank size is 135 gal... ? I don't gotcha... you have 4x 135 gal tanks?

Do you have any other filtration on the 135 gal besides one Mag 350?

Nothing beats user experience but if we don't fully explain ourselves others cannot benefit from our experience...
