I came back from a vacation to find a magnum 350 canister had leaked and half drained a 55 gal aquarium housing two goldfish. Luckily as the tank was housing goldfish, there wasn't a heater hooked up.
It's an older filter so this may have something to do with it. What happened is one of the tubes got disconnected on top. I suspect the power outtages from hurricane Irena and the filter restarting by itself may have put pressure on the connections causing this to happen.
Just wondering if anyone has tips on preventing this from happening again. At this point, I'm afraid to use this filter upstairs where it'll make a mess on the floor.
