OK. I have a 125 gallon with a sump filled with bio balls, scrubbies, and other bio media. (Plenty of biological filtration). Now I have a 25W UV sterilizer I want to install. My source I chose for a pump for the UV is a Magnum 350.
My question is can I fill the carbon media container with filter floss? This means the filter has the blue sleeve and filter floss, 100% mechanical filtration. (This is what Im looking for in my filtration system and for my UV).
If not can I fill the carbon media container with Bio media like ring or another substrate product?
