Magnum 350 + Rena XP2 = good 150 gal filtration?

That is basically the question, I have both of them set up on 150 gal fw tank.
Water is clear.
10 J.D ranging 3 inches to 9 inches (most on big side)
1 pleco

If your happy with the mech it offers and your tank processes all the ammonia and nitrite then id say yes its definitely good filtration.
Do you get enough water movement ?

As mentioned, the determination of "is my filtration good enough" is answering no to all three of the following questions...

1) Do I have to much physical waste in the tank?

2) Do I have detectable ammonia or nitrite levels?

3) Do I have dead spots in my tank?

If you have very much decor at all in this tank I wouldn't think there is enough water movement... A few powerheasd would be a simple solution if you simply need water movement...

Do make sure you clean your canisters as needed. As they get dirty the water flow will slow down decreasing the circulation in the tank, which can lead to dead spots.

It may be adequate filtration, but for me it would not be good. I would question if whether or not either of the filters could support the tank on their own. In case of one of the filters were to stop functioning, I'd need the other to a least have a chance at doing this.
