Has anyone had a magnum 350 and how good are they thinkin about getting one
but wondering if they have any problems and i read they can polish wter if it gets cloudy is it worth 100 dollars for the pro version :1zhelp:

Yes i love the water polishing feature-Anne

I had one of those for many years always worked great.I had a about 10 20-30 gallon tanks and used the magnum 350 and another canister filter to polish the water, always did agreat job.The impeeler is easily replaceable for that occasional gravel accident, and theslide off filter sleeve is easy to rinse and reinstall. The only comlaints are the top could be slightly annoying to align, and the metal clips occasionally needed to be rebent or replaced. Now that I'm keeping fish again I
am planning on getting a new canister and would definitely buy another magnum.I didnt have the pro attachment so i dont know about that.Btw the fiter was in storage when a building collapsed on it or I would probably be using it now.

im thinking about it i dont know are there any other better filters for that price or not much more

The magnum 350 is by far the best can filter for the money I use it on my 100g tank with Fluval BIOMAX and Seachem MATRIX biofilter inside the media contianer. It keeps my tank clear all the time without using the carbon.

Doctors foster & smith catolog has the 350 pro for $89.99, or the 350 deluxe for 79.99, or the basic for 75.99.

:( I paid 129.99 for the 350 deluxe 1year ago at a LFS :(

thanks for the help guys i didnt want to buy it then get stuck with a bad filter

You can do a lot with a 350, I have one thats been running since 94 non stop..
filled with bio media, with a mod to run my tanks very low, if need..

I have a 330 hang on the back magnum, now that thing is old..
