Mahseer, Koi, or both?

Hello,

I've been thinking of a pond lately, and with recent good fortune, it could be about 3600 gallons. I'm having trouble deciding on stock though.
I think 8-10 two to three foot fish would be good right?
I contacted kendragon and he said some mahseer can tolerate wintering in a pond so I'm at a crossroads.

Should I get 4-5 koi and 4-5 mahseer or will there be issues? Do I need to have all of one species to fully enjoy each fish?

Why would you want to look at a dull colored mahseer rather than a colorful koi? Go with the koi.

Defiantly interested in what you do...as thinking the same here in ny and whatever you can keep i can surely have lol.
Also look into native fish off pennsylvania...any cool looking ones?
