I've learned over the time that when I first had my first two maingaino Cichlids one was a male and the other was a female. They actually bonded and I always thought that online they said that they wouldn't. But by experience they did. And when my female died with eggs in her mouth when I did a tank water change since I have very little money to work with, to get everything I needed to do proper tank changes. He went depressed. Now I've been searching for another female for him to hopefully let them bond again. I don't know if it will happen again or not but it's always a chance to take. This is my first time having African cichlids and now I just have the male left and he is very lonely. I don't know what to do since the place I bought him at hasn't been getting his kind in for months now. And I've tried online but they sell only several of them for $7 something all together. And you never know if they are healthy or not. And I live in a small apartment. I don't have space for all those African cichlids they sell at that price that are unsexed. I don't know what to do.
