Ok, thanks to ibr3ak I now know that the cichlid I have which is holding eggs is a female maingano.

So what do I do now? Should I isolate her? Should I wait until they hatch and remove the young? How to get them out of her mouth?

What to feed the young? Is flake ok? I feed flake to my baby convicts, but with africans I'm not sure.

I put my females in a holding tank a little over a week of them holding, any sooner and they either drop the eggs or swallow them while trying to net the females out. You may choose to let her hold the entire time and then spit them out naturally or you can strip her at around day 18. Check here on how to strip her if you decide to do that:

Also at the above link you'll see the "how to feed the fry" vid.

I strip my females at a little over 2 weeks and feed the fry crushed pellets, some crushed (out of the coffee grinder) nori and frozen worms every now and then.

I tend to move the female to a separate tank after about 3 weeks. She usually spits them soon after and she goes back to the main tank. the fry are really easy to take care of. Mine have taken to crushed flakes right away. I also have some plants in my fry tank that they munch on along with some snails for clean up.
