Hello, what are some cheap non-chemical ways to maintain a proper ph for cichlids
such as a type of rock, how to find it/what it looks like ect.

I live in connecticut, not near the ocean but near plenty of small streams
thanks

ph is at 6.2
where would i find crushed coral? without buying it?
how about limestone? and how/ where would i find it

african, and its not that, it is just that i like finding things and putting them in instead of buying, call it thrifty

For the safety of the fish I'd just not be thrify and buy the inexpensive crushed coral. I wouldn't just add the next rock you find that looks like it might be limestone
