I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about a Green Terror that had abruptly stopped eating.

Well know he has white stringy poo. Could this be some sort of parasite or internal infection?

Thanks in advance for responses

Sounds parasitic if there are no other signs of disease. Look for him shaking a lot or scratching himself on rocks or anything in the tank. Treat him with prazi-pro and he should perk up.

Sounds like a parasite or bacteria most likely internal parasite. I had the same problem due to nematodes. Hair thin white worms mistaken for planaria. I asked a buddy at the LFS & took a water sample w/ the worms and that's what it was.

You can try parasite clear made by Jungle, but didn't get good results. So i asked Mike on what to do. I had to start all over complete break of everything boiling gravel, decors complete tank including filtering systems for an 1-2 hours then treat with Mardel Copper Safe liquid meds good for a months time on one solo treatment.

It kills internal & external parasites. Not recommended for inverts or snails. Kills everything in the aquarium but the fish. No over dosing on Mardel otherwise you'd poison your fish killing them as well. I did take advice in cutting down on feeding from a guy on here a whole two days went by and now both my plecos are dead/eaten up to the head by my piranhas.

If your fish isn't eating & rubbing/flickering on things as well as white waste. It's a bad sign even if your read outs are good and water crystal clear. If you do decide to treat it monitor your fishes waste in coloration normal coloration mid gray to almost black which i also noticed in my fish while cleaning the gravel. Then i notice mite sized worms on the glass and water, so i knew something wasn't in the norm and where eating a little less too like fasting.

Nematodes! Get some parasite removals. Copper safe is great. Be careful of salt water fish with this stuff. Very dangerous. If your fishs' poo is white they have internal parasites and could be deadly.:WHOA:

:\ Try Jungle Parasite Clear food before you use copper or prazipro. If JPC fails, use prazipro, if that fails, use copper.

Thanks for the quick responses, I will treat the tank with some parasite meds and hope for the best. Should I also perform a large water change, like %50?

You can, but do it before treatment to maybe suck up some eggs or worms floating.
If JPC works and your fish become parasite free, use prazipro for a few days after that even to get ride of free floating worms.
