I have a 135 (US) Gallon aquarium. After some trial runs with different Cichlids I currently care for the following stock:

American Cichlids
1 Male Managuense (Jaguar) 6"
1 Female Festae (Red Terror) 5"
1 Green Terror 7"
1 Midievil/Blood Parrot 4"

Others
1 Delhezi Bichir
1 Ornate Bichir
1 Endlicheri Bichir
1 Senegal Bichir
1 Climbing Perch Fish
1 Red Fin Proachilodus
1 Clown Loach

After doing research, it is understood that the Male Managuense will likely become an issue for the long term in my aquarium. I also am trying to avoid having 3-4 large Cichlids constantly battling each other in such a small given space.

I am hopeful for some suggestions/alternatives for the tank. All thoughts/concerns are welcome.

Ideally, I would like to have some smaller brightly colored Cichlids (Africans or Americans) that will act as dither/target fish. The goal is to create more diversity in size and in color. I am thinking either a group of Mbuna Africans (I know the risks) or Severums (or something similar).

I will likely rehome my Managuense along with the Delhezi and Senegal Bichirs. Subtracting these fish from my current list, please offer suggestions as to which potential candidates I could look into.

I'd rehome the male once it starts to cause issues. A male Managuense is fully capable of clearing house on that tank. I'd keep the festae and others but add dithers (not sevs they'd just get beaten on) and make sure the tank is setup to have adequate territories for everyone

i would suggest losing the festae and midevil too, then maybe add a firemouth and a chocolate cichlid.

You started with a group of aggressive fish for what your wanting to achieve. If you like color go with the festae, but the females are usually worse than the males. The green terror is another that might work out. Stay away from male jags and any red devils types.
