So, I have been on the hunt for the perfect piece of driftwood for my big tank for a while.... And I finally found it!!! One problem, I can not get it through the tops into the tank.....

And it is on its way to being the worlds most expensive dog toy......

It won't look the same but perhaps you can lay into it with a Dremmel and cut it down so you can maneuver it into your tank.

You could lay it down after its been cut and cover the cut spots w/ other decor.. it won't be connected but at least it won't become a dog toy lol

That or if you can drill through it the right way you could probably get away w/ fastening it w/ zip ties I'd imagine

Yea, im thinking about those ideas... but the whole point was the look. Any ideas on fastening it back together once in the tank?
Zip ties and duct tape! lol
Maybe some stainless steel screws.

How much did you pay for that useless piece of wood? Lol

Lol.

Drain tank 60-75%, Cut the middle brace, insert wood, silicone and or zip tie the brace back together where you cut it!

I had a 90gal with a cracked middle brace and I never fixed it and it was fine. Not at all saying I advise removing a piece of your tank but you seem pretty affixed on this giant shaft of wood!
