Someone pushed the clothes basket in my bedroom over against the wall and knocked the filter off. 12 hours later, 5 of about 20 fish are dead, (of course my favorites... including a 1' long Black Ghost Knife, and a rare goby that was supposed to only live in brackish but I had for 3 years). A number of the remaining fish have come down with what is likely cotton mouth or some stress related bacteria/fungus probably from the biologicals getting all knocked out of whack with the stress, which I am trying to treat right now... (40.00 or so later)
uggh, apparently no one noticed the not work filter, even thought the Emperor 400 is loud, nor the dying fish for that matter.
I guess my canister filter that was still plugged in doesn't do to much without the Emperor in conjunction, I imagine the amonia got pretty high.
So yes I will be DUCK TAPING that cord to the socket.
