A fierce battle is underway, in the desert, with American and British forces fighting against an Iraqi stronghold. The Iraqi force leader soon realizes his men are losing and he orders his men to surrender. The senior officers from the allied side radio the Iraqi leader to meet at the center of the battlefield to discuss the terms of the surrender.
As the 3 officers approach the parlait area, the Iraqi officer notices something shiny partly embedded in the sand. He pulls the object out and all 3 officers can now tell it's a lamp. The Iraqi rubs the lamp and a genie puffs out from the lamp.
Genie: "Thank you for freeing me from my prison. In appreciation, I will grant each of you one wish."
The British officer is the first to respond, "Genie, I'm a huge soccer fan. I wish the British team to be world champions forever."
The genie snaps his fingers and says, "Granted. Your wish is my command."
The Iraqi is next and says, "Genie, I wish for you to build a protective wall around my country so big that no infidel foreigners can enter my country nor, can any good and faithful Iraqi be able to leave.
The genie snaps his fingers and says, "Granted. Your wish is my command."
At the American officer's turn, the officer asks, "Genie, before I make my wish, can I ask you a question?"
The genie indicates it's OK so, the American asks, "How big is this wall you built around Iraq?"
The genie answers, "The wall is 50 feet thick and 100 feet tall and cannot be breached by man or machine."
The American says, "Thanks Genie. For my wish, I want you to fill the inside of that wall with water.".
