:naughty: Hopefully now that it's spring, I will have no problem finding food for my fish. I am looking to build a bait box, bucket, tube or something that I can just throw in my local pond to catch bait. Mostly fry, minnows, and any other small fish. If you have any ideas or suggestions.....please let me know what you are thinking. The local pond is about 1/2 mile from where I live. It would be easier for me to trap my own bait than to make trips to the lfs.

just go buy a minnow trap, they're not that expensive, or just steal the basic idea. All you need to do is figure out what shape you want, square, rectangle, circle, and just make a "funnel" on one or both ends.

Try making a "redneck minnow trap" our of two 2 liter bottles. They work just as well and are fairly inexpensive. If ya need help on how to make then just pm me.
