Is there anyone in the UK, Hampshire area who makes their own or knows someone who makes fish tanks from scratch? I'm on a budget. I'm looking for 5ft x 2ft x 2ft.

You can buy one new from a number of aquarium manufacturers in the UK.

These guys want £232 for just the tank,these guys are very popular with the reef guys in the UK.

This company wants £310 for the same tank,although they have a very good rep for quality work.
I have just purchased a 250 from a company called AC aquatics as I have heard some very good things about the standards of there tanks and work.
Cant get a link to it at the moment as his site is under maintanance,should be back up later today.
All of the above companies will deliver,but if you have transport ND aquatics are in Hertfordshire,the others are up north so would not be viable to collect.
But I would think you may struggle to build your own for much less with the cost of the glass and silicone.Call your local glass company and ask them for a quote on the glass required in 10 mm and see how much you can save yourself on the glass that should give you a good idea on the cost's involved,I doubt you will save yourself much.

theres a place in portchester that does glass, i need to go up there to sort my viv glass out so if u wana tag along let me know, and u can ask them. theres also someone else thats just had a huge tank made, but cant remember where, il text u when i find out x
