If you have a lot of loaches, you may find that some of the high protein foods and also the veggies get eaten by only the best fighters among the group. Variety is good, but it's just as important to make sure every fish gets food, and gets the proper nutrition as well. Lately I have been using flake food and tiny pellets as a good way to even up the feeding process and give every fish in the shoal a good meal. Flake foods scatter quickly in current and make it easy for every fish to get at least something to eat. Here's my high quality mix:

I combine in a quart container:

One can of:

Omega One Super Color
Omega One Veggie Flake
Omega One Tropical
Omega One Marine
Ocean Nutrition Marine

I mix well and put back into cans as a mix. Other great scattering foods:

Sera Discus Pellets
Bio Blend Tropical Pellets
Bloodworms
Mysis shrimp
Glassworms

Make sure all of your loaches get a good meal.

I like frozen foods in sheet form rather than cubes. Just break off a big corner and hold it in the return. That usually blows it around so everybody gets some. The flake method is a good one also.

Do you still throw mussels in the shell, or cut them up in pieces?
