malachite green treatment

Started tank on treatment course of malachite green for Velvet disease. However i have been able to find a specific treatment course other than treat at one drop per gallon and treat for 2 to 3 weeks. Do i treat daily or is a single treatment left at that concentration for the prescribed period of time enough?

Given its toxicity at high dosages (even low dosages towards siluriformes)i want to be sure on the amounts. Thanks guys

Most manufacturers titrate it out to have a dosage of one drop per gallon. However, consult the packaging or manufactures web site for the proper dosage.

If it is in crystaline form, then you have to mix it according to the packaging before dosing it out.
