malawi cichlid ?'s

when i drop in a algae disk for my pleco some of my malawi cichlids come up to it and eat it is this normal? anyone have the same thing happen?

Are they mbuna? Even if a fish doesn't normally eat algae, they will still usually eat algae wafers, and if they're mbuna, it's good for them.

I wouldn't think it would hurt them to eat the wafers.

it's ok, they wnt some tasty tabs too)) My both mbuna and non-mbuna always pick a little

I have very few Malawi fish that will not eat just about any prepared food I drop into their tanks. Fresh vegetables typically get ignored by some after an exploratory bite, but any pellet/flake/wafer will be munched down.
