i came home today with a impulse buy... PAREUTROPIUS BUFFEI i reckoned they are alot faster than any of my malawi's... true that they are but they do get tired alot quicker dou...lol

so i had to move the single (recovering female) malawi back to her own tank.

now i've been searching for a couple of hours but alas i cant find suitable tank mates for malawi's execpt other aggresive cichlads!!!

my qeustion would be is there any other fish that would be suited in an malawi tank...except fish that would eat my malawi's anyways...?

well haps and mbuna not always working, what size tank... I would either keep the mbuna and go that route, getting rid of the hap, or keep the hap and lose the mbuna and go hap/peacocks. The labs will go with either setup...

well there are some catfish in tanganyika call synodontis..the are really fast and aggressive scavangers..but really don't know much about them and how would the be in a malawi set up

other thing to know besides what type of malawi cichlid you would choose..it's tank size

Its a 140 l tank a bit on the small side i know. i dont have any problems with aggresion or pickin at the moment. the hap because of size stands his ground against the mbuna.

i was just wondering what other species could be kept with mbuna... so synodontis cat fish is a contender for now...

thanks for the info so far guys!
