malawi community tanks help?

hi

i have a 6 long 2.5 wide 3 foot tall tanks
it roughly about 1000l

i want to have a community tank i just need to see what types of cichlids and how many

i was thinking about nimbochromis and haps and peacocks

im new to african cichlids can any one help

Ya, I would do some haps! Nimbochromis species, dimidiochromis species, fossorochromis rostratus, champsochromis caeruleus, chilotilapia rhoadesii, copadichromis species, protomelas species, tyrannochromis species...there are lots of haps you could go with, those are just to name a few. If you want peacocks also, make sure to get bigger peacocks like 4-6" range...bigger haps will prey on smaller fish including peacocks and mbuna

You can have peacocks, but keep in mind larger haps may consider them potential prey. When it comes to haps, i give my recommendation to f. rostratus and d. kiwinge..from my experience both really intetesting in appearance and behavior

def keep size in mind... i have a nimbochromis fusco... and if it fits it ships ... but in all seriousness he does tend to get rowdy sometimes but if the fish fits even a little bit into his mouth he will eat it, and if not he will keep trying until he kills it
