I recently purchased a 3 1/2 inch male malawi eye biter, i also on impulse bought 2 2inch albino eye biters. I have not been able to locate much information and have a few questions. What is the growth rate? What is good non live food to feed him? Will the regular male malawi kill the albinos regardless of there sex just because there albinos, sounds like a dumb question but i read somewhere after buying them that the regular malawi hates albinos. My last question is while the malawi eye biter is under 7inches can i keep 3 to 4inch tanginyika compressiceps with him or will he kill them just because there compressiceps? They are in a 90 gallon tank with lots of texas holey rock and a wet dry filter that filters the water 17 times per hour. Thank you for any replys.

If I recall correctly, the 1.5"-2" eye-biter juvies I acquired were at or near 6" in year's time and were close to 11" about three years after that.
I fed them NLS pellets (large fish formula), mysis shrimp and occasionally krill and silversides.
I would imagine that male d. compressiceps will view albino eye biters as they would the regular color morph.

Yeah, they are mellow, but I would definitely not keep Dimidochromis compressiceps and Altolamprologus compressiceps in the same tank. Totally different attitude and I wouldn't be surprised if one of your Altolamps turned up missing one day.
