I've only grown out one male Malawi Eye Biter. He grew to about eight inches before I traded him. Beautiful fish.
The Eye Biter's aggression level depends on the size of tank & environment provided as well as variety of tankmates present.
If the tankmates are similar in size & demeanor, likely no unusual aggression problems. The Eye Biter is more predatory than territorial. They will hover above bite sized tankmates and strike if an opportunity arises.
The Eye Biter's aggression falls short of Mbuna like the Red Zebra or predator Haps like a Fusco.

I never kept them. One of the reasons why is that one guy from my fish club told me they put full grown Nimbochromis in one corner of his 7 foot tank when in spawning mood. And when not in spawning mood they still need robust sparring partners like Nimbochromis, bigger Protomelas etc.
Since I like Aulonocara, Copadichromis and co I never considered keeping them after hearing this.

Mine wasnt really aggressive, more bark than bite. They would flare up and swim around crazy but it never got to them attacking anyone. I've kept 3 or 4 different ones in a 6ft 125 and they were all the same.
