Male Acei Ngara

They start out mostly all black, minus the tail. As they grow they develop the dark purple lines. Sometimes the lines show, and other times they look completely black, velvety. I have one in my mostly Tang. tank. Unsure if M of F, (several egg spots, but we all know that story) a really mellow fellow, that likes to eat.
Muske, is right they show mostly dark. This is the male in breeding color. Thee females are a duller grayish brown color and do not show the bright coloring. I will post a pic of a pair together during breeding.
