no where
ok i have a male and female in a complex betta tank and when i remove the divider the male just flares at the female alot ( there still is a divider in there just a see through ) but then when i add the dark divider in there he builds bubble nest. does this sound normal??

He wants to breed. :)

No male bettas will make bubble nest to indicate that they are ready to breed. He builds it cuz you keep switching it back and forth(the type of divider) so he builds it. BUT they do make nest even if they never ever seen a female betta b4. Lol trust me he wants some lovin. :)

Oh yea trust me i breed bettas :)

sure it will be up in here in like 1 hour :)
Me and my friend breed bettas like crazy but he is even more crazy then i am.
What kind do you have? I have 3 male short tail and one female short tail. The last batch of babies were all given away and these 4 where the ones i kept. But still working on those pics.

you can have lots in a 29g, i usually keep the females (around 20+ female bettas) in a
20g, because they tend not to fight as much as the males. For the males i keep them in separate jar. But males and females can be in the same tank when they are still small. Does your have longer tail or sort of a shorter tail. Post some pics i can help you ID em. :)
